Managing Your Installment Plan

Once you've started an installment plan with Markforge, managing your payments is simple and straightforward. This guide covers everything you need to know about updating payment methods, viewing payment history, and handling common situations.

Updating Your Payment Method

Need to change the card or bank account used for your installment payments? You can easily update your payment method through our secure Stripe customer portal.

    Log into your Markforge account and go to your Dashboard

    Navigate to your active installment plan or Orders section

  3. 3

    Click "Manage Payment Method" to access the Stripe portal

  4. 4

    Add a new payment method or update your existing one

  5. 5

    Confirm the changes—your next payment will use the new method

Payment method changes take effect immediately. Make sure to update your payment information before your next scheduled payment date.

Viewing Your Payment History

You can view your complete payment history at any time through your account dashboard. This includes:

  • check_circleAll past payments with dates and amounts
  • check_circleRemaining balance on your installment plan
  • check_circleUpcoming payment schedule
  • check_circlePayment receipts and invoices

Early Payoff Options

Want to pay off your domain early and complete the transfer sooner? We're happy to accommodate early payoffs. Simply contact our support team to arrange paying off your remaining balance.

To request an early payoff, contact us via live chat, our contact form, or email at support@markforge.xyz. Our team will provide you with the remaining balance and payment instructions.

There are no penalties or additional fees for paying off your installment plan early. You'll only pay the remaining principal balance.

What Happens If a Payment Fails?

Sometimes payments fail due to expired cards, insufficient funds, or bank declines. Here's what happens and what you can do:

  • check_circleYou'll receive an email notification about the failed payment
  • check_circleWe'll automatically retry the payment after 3 days
  • check_circleYou have a grace period to update your payment method
  • check_circleAccess to domain usage may be temporarily suspended after multiple failures

If payment fails repeatedly and remains unresolved, you may lose usage rights to the domain. Please update your payment method promptly or contact support if you're experiencing difficulties.

Automatic Payment Reminders

We send automatic email reminders before each scheduled payment to help you stay on track:

  • check_circle7 days before: Upcoming payment reminder with amount and date
  • check_circle1 day before: Final reminder before payment is processed
  • check_circleAfter payment: Confirmation receipt with updated balance
